Kawoq Forest invites you to join our Wellness & Guest Experience team in a unique work exchange program designed for people with a calling to serve, experience in yoga and holistic therapies, and a deep desire for personal and professional expansion.

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM ABOUT?

The Kawoq Forest Wellness Staff / Workexchange Program is a unique opportunity for wellness practitioners to join our team during the 2026 high season. We are currently accepting applications for October, November and December 2026.

Designed for yoga teachers, therapists, bodyworkers, facilitators and other wellness professionals, the program offers an immersive experience rooted in nature, conscious hospitality and ancestral wisdom. Participants contribute to the daily rhythm of Kawoq Forest through wellness offerings, guest experience and community life while developing their own personal and professional practice.

More than a volunteer position, this is a structured professional workexchange where presence, collaboration and meaningful contribution are at the heart of the experience.

What the Wellness Staff contributes

As part of the program, Wellness Staff may support Kawoq Forest through:

  • Teaching yoga and meditation

  • Supporting the guest experience

  • Offering workshops or group activities

  • Sharing approved wellness services

  • Supporting special events and ceremonies

  • Being actively present in community

  • Helping hold the spirit of conscious hospitality

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for people who are:

  • Experienced in yoga and wellness

  • Comfortable working with guests

  • Respectful of Mayan culture and sacred spaces

  • Open to feedback, structure and community life

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-month commitment: October, November and December 2026

  • 30 hours per week

  • Minimum 2 years teaching yoga

  • Experience in wellness, bodywork, therapies, facilitation or hospitality

  • Ability to offer workshops or wellness services is highly valued

  • Spanish and English are required, this is a must

Our team is local and Spanish-speaking, and our guests are international. For this reason, strong communication in both languages is essential.
